The studio

A converted warehouse, north light, neutral substrates.

The studio is where every parcel is hand-graded, photographed, and packed. We chose the building specifically for its north light and the textured plaster walls of a 1940s industrial conversion. One long oak table, three Profoto strobes that we never use, a stack of unbleached linen rolls, and the dry air that keeps photography consistent month-to-month.

Process

From parcel intake to outbound box.

  1. Intake. Parcels arrive from sourcing trips or supplier shipments. Logged, weighed, photographed unsorted on the table.
  2. Hand-grade. Sira sorts piece-by-piece. Material with surface fractures, veiling, or off-spec colour is set aside for clearance or return.
  3. Photograph. Daniel shoots in north window light against textured substrates — linen, plaster, kraft, oak. No strobes, no ring lights.
  4. Catalog. Mira writes the editorial copy. Treatments are confirmed against the supplier's declaration plus our intake notes.
  5. Pack. Recycled kraft outer, debossed wordmark, biodegradable paper-wool fill, tissue-wrapped stones with a small round seal sticker. Printed information card per stone.
  6. Ship. Out the door via USPS Priority for US orders and DHL for international, fully insured.
