The Monthly Mineral has been running since 2017. Roughly 60% of current subscribers have been with us five years or more. The benefits below accrue over time, not at signup.

  • Quarterly bonus stone — sent each March, June, September, December to all active subscribers.
  • Early access — Archive-grade specimens offered to subscribers 72 hours before the public catalog.
  • Annual gift — a small specimen mailed each January to subscribers in their fourth year and beyond.
  • Direct correspondence — Mira and Tom answer subscriber emails personally.
  • Studio visits — subscribers are welcome at the studio during the February gem show, by appointment.

    Box ships from the US.

    Third Wednesday of each month. Arrives in 5-9 business days, insured.

    Field essay arrives by email.

    A longer piece on the stone's origin, formation, or context, sent the same week.

Questions, answered.

  • When does the box ship each month?

    Boxes ship on the third Wednesday of each month from our US studio. US delivery typically 2-4 business days via USPS Priority; international 5-9 days via DHL or USPS International.

  • How is the stone chosen?

    Sam, at the Atlas desk, hand-picks each month based on what's recently come into the studio. Members can express preferences in their account (favorite stone families, colors), but selection is curated by a working dealer — not algorithm.

  • Can I skip a month or pause?

    Yes. Skip any month from your account or any subscriber email. Skipped months don't count toward your tenure.

  • Is there a long-term member benefit?

    All members get early access to new arrivals — 48 hours before public listing — and every dispatch includes our Stone Atlas certification card (origin, treatment, grade, signed).

  • How does cancellation work?

    One click in any email, or one click in your account. No "are you sure" dialog, no retention call. We don't believe in friction-based retention.
